SEN Teaching Assistant / Support Worker - Specialist ASD Provision - High Barnet

Long Term Futures are recruiting three SEN Teaching Assistants / Support Workers to join a highly regarded specialist provision in High Barnet, supporting secondary-aged students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated learning needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist setting where you'll make a genuine difference every day. The school is looking for compassionate, resilient and proactive individuals who understand that every young person learns differently. Experience as a Support Worker,
Youth Worker, SEN Teaching Assistant or Care Worker is highly
desirable.
Trial days are taking place from next week, with successful candidates securing September starts. As there are only three positions available, applications will close as soon as suitable candidates are identified.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for secondary-aged students with ASD
Support students with communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
Work alongside teachers, therapists and SEN professionals to deliver personalised support
Implement strategies linked to EHCPs and individual learning plans
Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction
Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment throughout the school dayIdeal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting children or young people with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
A background as a Support Worker, Youth Worker, SEN Teaching Assistant, Care Worker or Healthcare Assistant
A patient, resilient and understanding approach
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour support strategiesLocation & Transport - High Barnet, North London
