Architectural Assistant
Birmingham
Up to £38,000 DOE
We are working with a respected and design-led architectural practice seeking a talented Part II Architectural Assistant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality residential projects, with strong exposure to planning stages and early technical design.
Key Responsibilities for this Architectural Assistant role:
• Prepare and contribute to planning applications and associated submissions, including listed building consent where required
• Produce high-quality planning drawings and supporting documentation, including Design & Access Statements
• Assist in the development of Stage 4 technical packages
• Support coordination with consultants, contractors, and wider project teams
• Ensure designs comply with UK planning policy, Building Regulations, and relevant standards
• Contribute to project delivery across multiple RIBA stages
Requirements for this Architectural Assistant role:
• Demonstrable experience preparing planning applications and supporting documentation
• Exposure to RIBA Stage 4 technical design packages
• Strong design, visualisation, and presentation skills
• Good understanding of UK planning policy and Building Regulations
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
