We are thrilled to be recruiting an Examinations Officer to join the team as we launch this exciting opportunity for our newest exam centre in Newcastle.

The Examinations Officer role focuses on ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant coordination of all UK assessments delivered at the centre. You will oversee the full examination lifecycle: planning, administration, quality assurance, and candidate support. Your work will help us deliver a professional, supportive, and stress-free exam experience for all candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Examination Planning & Coordination

* Develop and implement examination schedules across a range of UK assessments.

* Work collaboratively to confirm venues, dates, and logistical arrangements.

* Ensure the Newcastle centre is exam-ready at all times.

Logistics & Administration

* Oversee all operational aspects of assessments, including set-up, materials, and compliance.

* Manage exam administration in line with internal and awarding body procedures.

Team Leadership

* Recruit, train, and support a diverse team of invigilators.

* Ensure staffing levels and standards meet the needs of busy exam periods.

Quality Assurance

* Maintain high standards of accuracy, security, and fairness in all exam processes.

* Review and refine procedures to continuously improve delivery.

Candidate Support

* Act as the main point of contact for candidates.

* Provide clear guidance, answer queries, and create a positive exam journey.

* Coordinate reasonable adjustments and special arrangements where required.

Access Arrangements

* Serve as the centre lead for delivering access arrangements.

* Support our Access Arrangements team in ensuring excellent service and compliance.

Desired (But Not Essential) Attributes

* Experience administering UK assessments from awarding bodies (AQA, Pearson, Cambridge International, etc.).

* Confident using Microsoft Office and Management Information Systems (MIS).

* Strong customer service skills across in-person, email, and phone communication.

* Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.

* Ability to adapt quickly in a busy, fast-paced environment.
