About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and resilient PSHE Teacher to join a dedicated Alternative Provision in Colchester, Essex. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who require additional support outside of mainstream education.

You will deliver engaging and meaningful PSHE lessons that support students personal development, emotional wellbeing, and life skills. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing, supportive environment and is committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and deliver high-quality PSHE lessons tailored to individual needs
· Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
· Build strong, positive relationships to encourage engagement and progress
· Promote wellbeing, resilience, and personal development
· Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external agencies
· Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

Requirements

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification (desirable but not essential for experienced candidates)
· Experience working with young people in alternative provisions, PRUs, SEN settings or similar
· Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach
· Passion for supporting vulnerable learners
· Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse needs
