Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our well-established clients based in Worcestershire who are a leading manufacturer of complex and safety-critical engineering parts for the defence and transport sector.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and safety and ensuring that all safety-critical products and components meet specification requirements.

This role offers a stable, full time position with a competitive salary, training and an opportunity to further develop your engineering expertise within a supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities:

* Implement and perform first-off, in-process and final inspections and with the ability to use precision measuring equipment which include: verniers, height gauges and multi-axis Measurement Arms

* Verification of compliance with engineering drawings and individual customer quality requirements

* Complete and support First Article Inspection (FAI) reports

* Investigate customer concerns, responsible for raising and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

* Consistently identify opportunities for improvement within the department and record all improvements

* Maintain accurate inspection and calibration records in line with national standards

* Maintaining a continuous workflow and identifying issues affecting smooth operations to meet customer demand

* Responsible for ongoing training of shop floor personnel on maintaining consistent quality and standards.

Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a Quality inspection or similar role - minimum 2 years+

* Able to interpret and read engineering drawings

* Experience in the selection and use of measuring equipment including verniers, height gauges, multi-axis Measurement Arm

* Specialised knowledge regarding Quality and Health and safety management systems eg. ISO 9001, 3834, AS9100 (AS9102)

* The ability to problem solve and time manage priorities

* Proficient user of IT systems

* Good communication skills and an ability to work alongside and with management, colleagues and customers

* Pays attention to detail

* A flexible team player

Salary: up to £16.64 per hour DOE + Company Benefits

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 17:15, Friday 07:45 - 13:00

Temporary to Permanent Contract.
