Location: Hemel Hempstead (On-site)

Salary: £27,000-£28,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm

About Trekinetic

Our client is a leading manufacturer going through a period of extensive growth, as a result we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join their production team on a permanent basis.

The Role

This is a hands-on workshop-based role where you will be responsible for assembling, servicing and repairing products to the highest standards. You will work as part of a small, friendly team, helping to ensure every product leaving our workshop meets our quality expectations.

The role offers variety, with responsibilities ranging from new product assembly through to servicing customer equipment and supporting continuous improvements within production. Full product training will be provided, but previous mechanical assembly experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble units from component level to completed product.
Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on returned products.
Read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions and production documentation.
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs where required.
Work closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Contribute ideas for improving assembly methods, quality and efficiency.
Follow company quality procedures and support our ISO 9001 quality management system.About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality products.

You should have:

Previous experience in a mechanical assembly or manufacturing role.
A good understanding of mechanical components and assembly techniques.
Confidence using hand tools, power tools and general workshop equipment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of a consistently high standard.
A practical and methodical approach to problem solving.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a small production team.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
A positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.Experience of working within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Additional Info

Starting salary of £27,000-£28,500 per year, depending on experience.
Permanent, full-time employment.
28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
An additional day's holiday for each completed year of service, up to a maximum of 5 extra days.
