Job DescriptionHays Education are working in partnership with a mainstream primary school in Liverpool who are seeking a Level 3 Qualified 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This role will involve providing targeted one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs, ensuring they are fully supported to access learning and achieve their potential.The role will involve:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)
Supporting the pupil to access the curriculum and engage positively in classroom activities
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver targets set out within the EHCP, IEP, or individual support plans
Planning and adapting learning activities, resources, and teaching strategies to meet individual needs
Supporting communication skills, language development, and social interaction
Promoting emotional wellbeing, self-regulation, and positive behaviour
Encouraging independence, confidence, and sustained engagement in learning
Using your Level 3 knowledge and experience to contribute effectively to the wider classroom environmentPrevious Experience Required:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a mainstream or specialist school settingWhat Hays Education Offers:
