Assembly Team Leader | Bury St Edmunds
Our client is is looking for an experienced and motivated Assembly Team Leader to lead their assembly operations and drive operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader with a passion for Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and developing high-performing teams.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys leading people to achieve outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
+Lead daily production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
+Conduct daily team briefings covering production targets, Health & Safety, and 5S activities.
+Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.
+Drive improvements in Right First Time (RFT) performance and reduce defects, rework and scrap.
+Lead, coach and develop a team to achieve high levels of engagement and performance.
+Drive labour productivity, efficiency and cost improvements.
Key Skills and Experience:
+Minimum 5 years' experience within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
+Previous experience leading production or assembly teams.
+Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools - 5S, TPM, Kaizen, 8 Wastes
and 5 Why problem solving
+Experience using IFS or another MRP/ERP manufacturing system.
