We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and motivated Teaching Assistants to join Alternative Provision (AP) schools across Westminster, Kensington & Fulham.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who may have experienced barriers to education, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, behavioural challenges, or additional learning needs. Your support can have a lasting impact on helping young people re-engage with education and achieve their potential.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students both in the classroom and through one-to-one or small group interventions.
Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning programmes.
Help manage behaviour using positive behaviour support strategies.
Support students with SEMH, SEND, ASD, ADHD, or other additional needs where required.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people in education, youth work, care, sports coaching, or similar settings is desirable.
A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
The ability to remain professional in challenging situations.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
