Behaviour Assistant (Full-Time, KS3-KS5)
Location: SEN School, Tower Hamlets
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £100-£125 per day (negotiable)
Hours: 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday
We are looking to appoint a flexible, proactive, and resilient Behaviour Assistant to join a specialist SEN school supporting learners aged 11-19. This is a fast-paced, high-variation role that would suit someone with strong special school experience and the confidence to adapt quickly to changing needs throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent, in-class behaviour and learning support across a varied timetable
* Respond swiftly and professionally to behaviour support requests from teaching staff
* Deliver short-term, targeted intervention sessions on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis
* Support students during enrichment activities, school trips, swimming, and outdoor learning
Requirements
* Previous experience working in a special school setting (mainstream-only or sports coaching backgrounds are not suitable)
* Ability to work flexibly with multiple classes and age groups throughout the day
* Physically active and confident supporting students with a range of complex needs
* Strong communication skills and a professional, team-focused approach
* Experience with or resilience when managing challenging behaviours
