Technical Author - Engineering Services - Cumbria - £40-50/hr (outside IR35)
I'm supporting a leading engineering business that is looking for an experienced Technical Author to support the delivery of major nuclear projects. This is an initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension.
The role is centred around producing, reviewing and approving technical documentation to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest standard.
You'll be responsible for:
* Preparing, reviewing and approving RAMS, Method Statements and Lifting Plans
* Reviewing FAT/SAT documentation
* Reviewing engineering calculations completed by others
* Ensuring documentation complies with LOLER, PUWER and CDM Regulations
* Working closely with engineering, project and site teams to support project delivery.
We're looking for someone with:
* Strong experience producing and reviewing technical documentation within engineering or industrial projects
* Proven experience with RAMS, Method Statements and Lifting Plans
* Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and CDM
* A Mechanical, Civil, Structural or similar engineering background
You don't need to carry out engineering calculations yourself, but you should be confident reviewing them. Likewise, HAZID/HAZOP experience isn't essential.
If you're looking for your next contract supporting high-profile nuclear projects, I'd be happy to tell you more. Get in touch for a confidential discussion
