Experienced RCV Technician Opportunity in Preston

Our client, a reputable transport company based in Preston, is seeking a skilled RCV Technician to join their dedicated engineering team. This opportunity is ideal for experienced motor trade professionals aiming to develop their career within a supportive, modern environment. Service, diagnose, and repair RCV vehicles, with exposure to sweepers, tractors, and 7.5T vehicles
Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure vehicles meet safety standards
Support the engineering team by completing defect sheets, job cards, and compliance documentation accurately
Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively to identify and resolve faults promptly
Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Work flexibly across shifts, including early mornings, days, and late shifts as requiredRequirements:

Proven experience as a RCV Technician, Plant Mechanic, PCV Technician, HGV Technician, or LCV Technician
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy/PCV Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Full UK driving licence; PCV Category D licence desirable (training may be provided)
IRTEC accreditation or MOT tester licence is advantageous
