DevOps Engineer (SC Cleared) - 6 months - Wokingham (Hybrid)

Contracting role based in Wokingham (Hybrid, 3 days onsite mandatory) for a 6-month engagement. Active SC clearance is required for this role. You will design, deploy, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure services, working across Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code, Azure DevOps pipelines, and secure cloud configuration to deliver reliable, well-governed cloud platform services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, configure, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure services in line with agreed architecture, security, and operational standards
• Develop, maintain, and improve Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code templates, modules, and deployment patterns
• Support Azure DevOps processes including source control, pull request workflows, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and environment promotion
• Contribute to the delivery and management of Azure landing zones, subscriptions, networking, identity, monitoring, and platform services
• Implement and maintain secure cloud configurations including RBAC, managed identities, private networking, policy enforcement, encryption, logging, and monitoring
• Support automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, validation, and life cycle management using DevOps and infrastructure-as-code methodologies
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues across development, test, and production environments

What You Will Ideally Bring:

• Active SC clearance - mandatory requirement
• Practical experience designing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure services
• Hands-on experience using Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure through reusable, version-controlled infrastructure-as-code
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles - automation, CI/CD, source control, peer review, and deployment governance
• Experience working with Azure DevOps, Git repositories, YAML pipelines, and automated deployment workflows
• Knowledge of Azure networking concepts - virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, routing, and DNS

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months
• Rate: £325 per day
• Location: Wokingham (Hybrid - 3 days on-site)
