Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist
Location: North Northamptonshire
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: £39 per hour
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join our clients team in North Northamptonshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to take a lead role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation and discharge planning services, helping patients regain independence and return home safely.
Key Responsibilities
Lead occupational therapy assessments and rehabilitation programmes for patients admitted primarily from acute hospital settings.
Carry out access visits to patients' homes to assess the need for minor adaptations and specialist equipment to support safe discharge.
Manage a varied caseload while providing leadership and delegation to Therapy Assistants.
Support the wider Discharge to Assess pathway by accepting referrals as required.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), including healthcare professionals, social care, and community services, to facilitate safe, timely, and effective discharges.
Promote best practice and contribute to the continuous development of therapy services.About You
A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration.
Previous experience working within rehabilitation and discharge planning.
Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Experience managing a caseload and supervising or delegating work to support staff.
Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance, as community visits are an essential part of the role.
