Logistics Coordinator
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
The Opportunity
We're supporting a well-established, globally operating business within a specialist sector, looking to bring in a Logistics Coordinator with a strong understanding of freight and international shipping.
This is a fast-paced, project-driven environment where logistics plays a critical role in delivering high-quality work on a global scale. You'll be joining a collaborative team where attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving are key to success.
The Role
This position will see you taking ownership of coordinating shipments and ensuring materials move efficiently across international projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and coordinating freight shipments across road, sea, and air
Managing freight bookings and liaising with carriers and logistics partners
Handling shipping documentation and ensuring full compliance with customs regulations
Acting as a key point of contact for internal teams, suppliers, and external partners
Reviewing freight quotes to ensure cost-effective solutions
Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving any delays or issues
Identifying risks and implementing practical solutions to keep operations on track
Supporting continuous improvement of logistics processes and systemsWhat We're Looking For
Experience in a logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping coordination role
Good understanding of import/export procedures and international freight movements
Confident managing freight bookings and transport arrangements
Strong attention to detail, particularly with documentation and compliance
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
A proactive, solutions-focused mindsetPersonal Attributes
