We're working with a leading Global IT Services Provider who are looking for an OpenShift Architect to support a large-scale cloud migration programme. This role will focus on migrating a portfolio of microservices-based applications from an on-premises cloud environment to AWS.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the architecture and design of a large-scale application migration to AWS
Produce high-level and low-level solution design documentation
Provide technical guidance on migrating microservices-based applications
Design and support container platform solutions using EKS, ECS and OpenShift
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define migration strategies
Contribute to AWS cost modelling and provide commercial considerations for proposed solutionsRequired experience:
Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud migration programmes
Experience supporting large-scale application migration programmes from on-premises environments to AWS
Hands-on experience with EKS, ECS and OpenShift (essential)
Experience designing and documenting high-level and low-level solution designs
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and application migration strategies
