Platform Architect (Kubernetes/OpenShift)

Hybrid - Reading area (1-2 days per week on site)
Up to £115,000 + Bonus

I'm recruiting for a senior Platform Architect to take ownership of the architecture and evolution of a large-scale enterprise Kubernetes platform supporting business-critical services.

This isn't a hands-on engineering role. It's an opportunity to define platform strategy, influence technical direction, and ensure the platform remains secure, resilient and scalable as it continues to evolve.

• Enterprise Kubernetes platform architecture (OpenShift desirable)
• Designing and evolving production platforms
• Platform engineering and microservices
• Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation
• Hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• High availability, resilience and disaster recovery
• Working within complex enterprise or regulated environments

This role would suit someone who has moved beyond implementation and now enjoys solving platform-wide challenges, setting architectural standards and working closely with engineering teams to shape long-term technical direction.
