Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Nights)
Location: Norfolk
Shift: Permanent Nights (Monday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:00am, Friday 5:00pm-10:30pm)
Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a new opportunity within a busy manufacturing environment?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer for a skilled engineer to join their night shift engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business that invests in its people and offers long-term career stability, ongoing training and a competitive benefits package.
The Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance to keep operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide reactive and preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
* Maximise machine uptime, efficiency and product quality.
* Carry out routine inspections, calibrations and safety checks.
* Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
* Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
* Support planned shutdowns and provide occasional weekend and bank holiday cover when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
* Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
* An engineering qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline (apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent).
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* A proactive approach with a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Flexibility to support additional shifts and overtime when needed.
Experience within the packaging or FMCG sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
