Are you an organised and detail-oriented Document Controller looking to join a busy and growing design and build environment?
Our client is a well-established design and build contractor delivering high-quality commercial and residential projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Document Controller to support their project teams by ensuring all project documentation is managed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain project documentation using electronic document management systems (EDMS).
* Control the issue, receipt, distribution, and filing of project documents, drawings, and correspondence.
* Ensure all documentation is uploaded, reviewed, and distributed in accordance with project procedures.
* Maintain accurate document registers and revision histories.
* Liaise with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors regarding document submissions.
* Monitor outstanding document actions and follow up where required.
* Support project teams with administrative and document control duties.
* Ensure compliance with company quality management systems and document control processes.
* Archive completed project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
About You
* Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction, design and build, engineering, or property sector.
* Experience using document management systems such as Viewpoint, Aconex, Asite, 4Projects, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar.
* Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
* Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* A proactive and professional approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
