Community Occupational Therapist
£34.00 per hour | South Lakes, Cumbria
Overview
I am currently recruiting for a Community Occupational Therapist to work with my client in the South Lakes area of Cumbria, covering Kendal, Sedbergh and the surrounding areas.
You will be joining a supportive Adult Social Care team, managing a varied community caseload with a focus on helping adults remain safe, independent and living well in their own homes. This is a rewarding role where you'll work autonomously while receiving strong support from an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include completing holistic and functional assessments, moving and handling assessments, recommending equipment and adaptations, completing seating assessments, and supporting hospital discharges and admission prevention. You'll work closely with health professionals, reablement services and partner agencies to deliver person-centred care.
This is a hybrid position with a flexible approach to home working. Ideally, you'll spend a minimum of three days per week working within the office or out in the community to support collaboration and service delivery.
The contract is 37 hours per week with the option of condensed hours, subject to service needs.
This is an initial 3-month locum contract, with a strong likelihood of extension while a permanent appointment is recruited.
Requirements
At least 1 year's postgraduate experience
HCPC registered
Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy recognised by relevant professional bodies
Proven experience working within a Community Occupational Therapy setting
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Strong commitment to person-centred, strengths-based and holistic practice
Clear Enhanced DBS (Adults) (we can put this in process for you)What's on offer
