Premier Education Ltd are currently working in partnership with a specialist secondary provision in the Stoke-on-Trent / Staffordshire area who are seeking an enthusiastic Outdoor Education Specialist to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about outdoor learning and personal development. You will deliver engaging outdoor education sessions designed to build confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence for students with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
Whether your background is in education, outdoor pursuits or youth work, we'd love to hear from candidates with the right experience and passion for making a difference.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging outdoor learning activities and practical sessions
Promote confidence, resilience and teamwork through outdoor education
Support students' social, emotional and personal development
Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and the wider school team
Requirements
Experience delivering outdoor education, forest school, Duke of Edinburgh, adventure learning or similar programmes
Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education or SEND
A calm, patient and adaptable approach
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
Relevant outdoor education or coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential
Ability to provide two references covering the last two years
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
Pay
£100 - £180 per day (dependent on qualifications, experience and responsibilities)
