About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Quality Manager to join our growing Civil Engineering team based in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a quality professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for continuous improvement to play a key role in delivering excellence across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Quality Management function across civil engineering operations and projects.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems and procedures.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, company standards, contractual requirements, and industry regulations.
Lead internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
Analyse quality performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Support project teams in achieving quality objectives and delivering right-first-time outcomes.
Investigate quality concerns and oversee corrective and preventative actions.
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development to quality and operational teams.
About You
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in a senior quality leadership role within the Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Utilities, or Construction sector.
Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
Experience leading audits, compliance programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to influence and drive positive change across operational teams.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
Lead Auditor qualification.
Quality Management qualification.
Experience on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory compliance, and integrated management systems.
