Team Leader – Children’s Residential
Location: Bolton
Salary: £14.50 – £14.75 per hour + £60 sleep rate
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join a children’s residential home in Bolton, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced residential childcare professional looking to take the next step into leadership, or further develop within a Team Leader position.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead shifts and support the day-to-day operation of the home
* Provide supervision, guidance, and support to staff to maintain high standards of care
* Support the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments
* Ensure compliance with The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and safeguarding frameworks
* Promote positive behaviour support and manage challenging behaviours effectively
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and case documentation
* Contribute to care reviews, planning meetings, and multi-agency working
* Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the overall running of the home
* Act as a role model through direct work with children and young people
Requirements
* Previous experience within children’s residential care
* Level 3 in Children's Residential
* Experience working at Senior/Team Leader level (or ready to step up)
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations
* Ability to lead shifts and support staff development
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)

* Sleep-in duties required (£60 per sleep)
* Enhanced DBS required
* Ongoing training and development opportunities
