Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Role Summary
We are seeking a confident and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching, deliver learning activities, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Delivery - Lead learning for individuals, groups, or whole classes.
IEP Support - Assist with IEPs and monitor pupil progress.
Classroom Environment - Maintain a calm, supportive, and structured learning space.
Staff Support - Share are of expertise and help train colleagues.
Supervision - Supervise pupils during trips and off‑site activities.
About You
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience).
Strong communication and clarity when giving instructions.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
Able to work independently and lead whole‑class learning when needed.
Patient, empathetic, and committed to individual pupil needs.
A collaborative team player with a professional, confidential approach.
Contract Details
Location: Waterlooville
Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri 08:30-15:30
Thu 08:30-16:00
Salary (Pro Rata): £20,574.24-£22,636.10
Start: ASAP/ September 2026
