Year 2 Teacher - Maternity Cover

A welcoming and well-established mainstream primary school in Battersea is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover contract from September through to February 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity to teach a small, well-supported Year 2 class within a friendly and collaborative school environment. The school is ideally looking to appoint a teacher on the M2-M4 pay scale, making this an excellent opportunity for an early career teacher beyond their induction years or a developing classroom practitioner looking to continue their professional growth.

The Role Will Involve:

Full classroom responsibility for a Year 2 class

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

Be on the M2-M4 pay scale or have experience equivalent to this level

Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

Be organised, enthusiastic, and committed to raising attainment

Have strong communication and teamwork skills

Have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
