Planner / Senior Town Planner - Planning Consultancy
Liverpool, Merseyside

Are you a Town Planner ready to step into a more dynamic consultancy environment, or a Senior Town Planner looking to take real ownership of projects?
I'm working with a well-established and growing planning consultancy team in central Liverpool that's delivering some of the region's most high-profile and complex development schemes and looking for a town planner or senior town planner to help grow the team. This is an opportunity to work at the front end of development, shaping projects from feasibility through to delivery.

The Opportunity
You'll join a collaborative and commercially focused team advising a broad client base across both private and public sectors. The work is varied and genuinely interesting - from city centre regeneration and tall buildings to strategic housing, logistics, and town centre repurposing.

You'll be involved across the full planning lifecycle, including:
·Development appraisals and planning strategy
·Preparing and submitting planning applications
·Supporting EIA and appeal work
·Stakeholder and local authority engagement
·Working as part of multidisciplinary project teams

Depending on your level, you'll either support senior colleagues or take ownership of projects, managing delivery and client relationships.

What They're Looking For
·Experience within the UK planning system (consultancy and/or local authority)
·Strong understanding of planning policy and development processes
·Ability to produce high-quality planning reports and statements
·Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

Qualifications:
·Degree in Town Planning or related field
·RTPI accreditation (or working towards it) preferred

Why Consider This Role?
·Exposure to major, high-profile schemes across the Liverpool City Region
·Clear progression opportunities in a growing team
·Supportive, collaborative environment with multidisciplinary expertise
·Opportunity to develop both technical and client-facing skills
·A role where you can genuinely influence the outcome of developments

If you're a Town Planner looking for a role where you can build your career in planning while working on meaningful, large-scale projects, this could be a strong next move.
