Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established boutique Town Planning consultancy in the recruitment of a Senior Planner / Planning Consultant to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planning professional to join a respected consultancy renowned for delivering innovative planning solutions and expert advice across a diverse range of projects. The Role

As a Senior Planner / Planning Consultant, you will manage a varied portfolio of planning projects, providing expert advice to clients and guiding applications through the planning process from inception to determination.

Working closely with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering successful planning outcomes while contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

Managing planning applications across a variety of development sectors.

Preparing and submitting planning statements, reports and supporting documentation.

Conducting site appraisals and development feasibility assessments.

Providing planning advice on planning policy, legislation and development opportunities.

Liaising with local authorities, consultees and key stakeholders.

Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Managing projects through all stages of the planning process.

Monitoring planning policy updates and advising clients accordingly.

Candidate Requirements

Degree qualified in Town Planning, Urban Planning or a related discipline.

MRTPI qualified or working towards Chartership.

Strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policy and development management.

Experience preparing planning applications and planning reports.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong organisational and project management abilities.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple projects.

Commercially aware with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
