Behaviour Support Assistant
Full Time, September 2026 start
We are currently seeking a behaviour support assistant to join our increasingly growing team of passionate educators at Vision for Education to support pupils within a school in the Cardiff area.
The position is based within a specialist primary provision which specifically caters for primary aged boys with a range of additional learning needs, trauma and behaviour challenges. The pupils you would be supporting are of a primary school age and while this job role will be challenging, it will offer you great job satisfaction and sense of achievement.
Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with ALN or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) is highly desirable, such as an understanding of the complexities related to this. The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of teaching and behaviour strategies relevant to this.
So are you passionate about inspiring and motivating pupils with ALN / SEMH pupils to access the curriculum? An understanding and flexible nature is essential, and the school is particularly keen to have someone who is proactive, empathetic, engaging and creative. Candidates should use their personality to engage with these students.
This is a fantastic opportunity to show what you can do and put your skills into practice and show how you can positively encourage all pupils to overcome barriers to learning which will be extremely rewarding.
Should you require any additional information regarding this role, or to apply for the position, please contact Chris your SEN specialist on the number below or send a copy of your CV through for consideration.
I look forward to hearing from you.
