As a Teaching Assistant in one of the most unique specialist provisions, your role will be to support pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) with their day to day schooling tasks, working with them closely both inside and outside of the classroom.
The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children and ideally have experience working with children or have a background in care roles, sports coaching or youth work. However, we are interested in speaking with candidates from all walks of life, so if you feel you have the passion and drive to work in an SEN environment, please get in touch today.
Job Duties:
Demonstrate proactive initiative and the ability to follow direction calmly and assertively.
Provide tailored academic support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support students' academic development.
Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies.
The vetting process:
(Teaching Personnel can help you obtain the following)
Have an enhanced DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one.
Register with education work force council.
Provide two previous employment references.
Complete safeguarding level 2
