Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time

Daily Rate: £110 – £140 (dependent on experience)
Our agency is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Milton Keynes, seeking a confident and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils' learning and development while working closely with teaching staff across the school.
About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work collaboratively with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, lead learning activities, and provide high-quality support to pupils, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups
Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted intervention and raise attainment
Assist with planning, preparing, and adapting learning activities to meet pupils' needs
Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers
Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents, and carers
Support pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring all children can access the curriculum effectively
Candidate Profile
HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Previous experience working within a primary school setting
Confidence delivering lessons across different year groups
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, adaptable, and positive approach to supporting teaching and learning
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Requirements
Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Two relevant professional references
Eligibility to work in the UK
