Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Lead Planning, Monitoring & Control Professional - Controls to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based in Barrow and offers a unique opportunity to work on highly critical projects within the submarine solutions domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the planning, monitoring, and control processes for complex projects
Developing and maintaining project schedules and control structures
Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
Providing regular project status reports and updates to senior management
Ensuring compliance with project management standards and practices
Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Utilising project management tools and software to track and report on project progress
Mentoring and guiding junior project professionals within the team
Job Requirements:
Experience in project planning, monitoring, and control within the Defence & Security sector
Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Must be a Sole British National
