Vision for Education is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Lancaster, Lancashire. This long-term temporary role is due to begin in September 2026 and has no set end date, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking for ongoing work in Lancaster, Lancashire.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide general classroom support across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, working alongside teaching staff to create a positive learning environment where every student can achieve their potential.
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
Encourage student participation, confidence and independence.
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
Provide additional support for pupils who require extra guidance.
Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents where appropriate.
Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements
To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:
Have experience working with secondary age children.
Hold a minimum Level 2 childcare qualification or equivalent.
Have excellent behaviour management skills.
Be a confident communicator, able to use your own initiative when required.
