Production/Manufacturing Engineer

Are you an experienced Production/Manufacturing Engineer. Our client is currently recruiting an experienced Production/Manufacturing Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Director, the role of Production/Manufacturing Engineer provides a support function to all areas of production of the business.
Role responsibilities:
* Transfer and embed best practice
* Act as the manufacturing engineering authority on the shopfloor
* Lead lean improvement, problem-solving, and line balancing activities
* Drive cost, quality, safety, and waste reduction through CI culture
* Provide Design for Manufacture input and manage engineering changes
* Create standard operations, work instructions, and balance charts
* Support cross-functional project execution
* Ensure full compliance with EHS and quality standards
What we’re looking for
* Strong experience with machining/tooling (e.g., CNC turning and milling) (knowledge of Grinding would be an advantage)
* Experience in a manufacturing engineering role – experience with tool management
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
* Knowledge of CAM software and CNC programming
* 3D Modelling – preferably Creo
* Creating BOMs and routings
* Experience in fixture design
Personal Attributes
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Work effectively as part of a team and independently manage own time
* Flexible to the needs of the business with the ability to work calmly under pressure
* Organised with attention to detail
* Practical, hands-on engineering mindset
* Good communication across shop floor and leadership
