Shift Engineer – Multi-Skilled

Location: Cheshire

Salary: £55,000

Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 Days / 2 Nights)

Overtime: Paid at 1.25x

We're currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join an FMCG manufacturing business in Cheshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering team within a fast-paced production environment where you'll play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement.

The Role As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Fault finding and breakdown repairs across production and site services equipment
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
Supporting continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities
Assisting with capital projects and site improvement initiatives
Ensuring compliance with statutory checks, GMP and site procedures
Maintaining engineering stores and technical documentation
Supporting and coaching colleagues on maintenance best practice
Delivering effective shift handovers and engineering communication
Contributing towards site KPIs including Safety, Quality, Performance and Service
Requirements
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
Level 3 Engineering Qualification (minimum)
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
