Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher looking to combine primary classroom teaching with a rewarding SEND-focused leadership responsibility?
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Doncaster to recruit a dedicated Primary Teacher with additional responsibility for supporting Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the school. This exciting temporary-to-permanent opportunity is available from September 2026 and offers the chance to make a significant impact both in the classroom and through wider school improvement.
The Role
This is a full-time primary teacher position with additional SEND responsibilities, making it ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of inclusive practice and a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver high-quality teaching within a primary classroom setting
Work closely alongside the school's SENCO to support the provision for pupils with SEND
Be provided with dedicated SEN planning and administration time each week
Assist with SEND reviews, meetings and communication with parents and external agencies
Support the development and implementation of tailored interventions and individual support plans
Help colleagues adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
Contribute to creating an inclusive environment where every child can achieve their potential

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has excellent organisational and communication skills
Holds a SEND qualification or experience in a SEND-focused role (desirable but not essential)
Is passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs
