Rough Sleeping Support Worker – Walsall Council
Fox Morris Group are working to recruit a Rough Sleeping Support Worker
5 days a week onsite!
Role and Responsibilities:
* The post holder will support vulnerable homeless adults.
* Their specific focus will be:
* Reducing repeat homelessness by supporting vulnerable adults, homeless people, former rough sleepers, offenders, and those with complex needs who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
* The postholder will assist service users in developing, utilizing, and enhancing both new and existing skills, knowledge, and confidence to break the cycle of homelessness, prevent its recurrence, and support sustained independent living.
* The post holder should be committed to supporting vulnerable service users as needed and must have a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle for work use.
Knowledge/Experience:
* Knowledge of issues faced by vulnerable service users such as substance misuse, mental health, offending, sexual exploitation (not exhaustive)
* Experience of working with service users in various settings.
* Experience of working with service users in various settings.
* Experience of supervising volunteers, students and or work experience.
* Up to date knowledge of welfare rights, Debt and Housing Legislation.
* Experience of supervising volunteers, students and or work experience.
