Location: Braintree
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 per annum starting
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (No weekend work)

The Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to join the production team. In this role, you will be responsible for machining specialised, high-precision optical and medical-grade components.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting up and operating CNC Lathe machinery to precise specifications.
* Working with delicate, high-tolerance materials to produce specialized optical/medical components.
* Conducting regular quality checks and measurements to ensure strict compliance with healthcare standards.
* Performing basic routine maintenance on machines.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or Setter/Operator.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Experience with high-tolerance, precision machining (experience with optical or specialized medical plastics/materials is a plus, but not essential).
* A strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
