Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established 2-form entry Primary School in Smethwick, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time basis until July 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting children in Key Stage 1 and is committed to helping pupils reach their full potential both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will have:

A Level 2 qualification (or above) in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or
A Level 2 qualification (or above) in Childcare
Experience working with children within a school or childcare setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
To be considered for this role, applicants must:

Be able to provide two professional references, including references from recent employers
Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain a new Enhanced DBS through TeacherActive
Have the right to work in the UK
