We, Academics, are looking for a suitable candidate to support as a Teaching Assistant for one of our reputable schools in Birmingham, B13 area. This Teaching Assistant opportunity starts in September 2026 and is daily work that has the potential to become long-term for the right candidate. This position is ideal for individuals, for example, students, who are seeking a more flexible role at the moment but would be up for a more long-term role in the future.
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will consist of:
Not only supporting pupils educational development but also managing and supporting the classroom alongside the designated teacher
Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
Providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils
Monitoring students and reporting to designated teacher when needed
De-escalating behavioural conflicts and recognising good behaviour in accordance with the schools policiesTeaching Assistant Requirements:
Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
Relevant qualifications or experience
