Vision for Education Cardiff is currently recruiting Psychology and Criminology graduates to support schools across the Newport area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience within education, child development, behaviour support, mental health or additional learning needs (ALN).
The role involves supporting primary-aged pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Schools are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate and proactive individuals who are passionate about supporting young people.
You will work with pupils with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Cerebral Palsy
Down’s Syndrome
Sensory Processing Difficulties
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Your responsibilities will include building positive relationships with pupils, supporting wellbeing and behaviour strategies, recognising behavioural patterns, and encouraging engagement with learning activities and classroom routines.
Whether you have recently graduated or are currently completing a degree in Psychology or Criminology, we have immediate opportunities available as well as positions starting in September. These roles are particularly well suited to individuals with an understanding of behaviour, mental health and child psychology.
If you are considering a future career in education, educational psychology, counselling, social work, youth work or care, this role provides valuable practical experience within a supportive school environment while allowing you to make a genuine difference to children’s lives.
