We have a great opportunity for a Technical Support Engineer from an electronics background to join a small and close-knit team in an all-round technical support role.
This would suit a field service/installation Engineer with strong electronics knowledge who wants to be based in one place office/factory-based or a graduate (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering with customer service skills and experience.
It’s a fully office and factory based role supporting customers directly, assembling products and testing/fault finding.
Job duties:
* Provide technical support to customers globally via phone, email and messaging platforms
* Manage and respond to incoming support queries, offering clear and effective solutions
* Troubleshoot electronic and IP-based systems remotely
* Assemble, test, fault-find and repair products on-site
* Assist with product configuration and preparation prior to dispatch
* Support internal teams including sales, with technical information where required
* Contribute to light assembly and testing within a small production environment
Skills & experience required:
* Electronic engineering background (HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience)
* Understanding of circuits, PCBs and electronic fault finding
* Knowledge of TCP/IP and IP-based systems
* Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
* Ability to work proactively and manage workload independently
Salary, hours and company benefits:
* Circa £35,000
* Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (early finish Friday – 4:30pm)
* Free parking
* Discretionary annual bonus
* Opt-in private medical scheme
* 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
