This school in Basingstoke is looking for a Year 6 class teacher to join their school from September 2026 for the autumn term until Christmas.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 2 (Year 6) Class Teacher to join our school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a significant impact on the learning and development of primary school students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, creating an engaging learning environment, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
This is a temporary/contract job starting September 2026 for the term. Ideally the school is looking for someone part time, 2 days a week but can be flexible on which 2 days,
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver effective lessons that meet the national curriculum guidelines for Year 6
Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
Assess and monitor student's progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
Develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with specific educational needs.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student's overall development.
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2
Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
