Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Trauma

Handsworth, Birmingham
Salary up to £39,000PA

We are working in partnership with an established and expanding provider of children’s residential care to recruit a Deputy Manager for a 6-bed LD children’s home based in Handsworth, Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a provider with a strong reputation in the sector, a clear growth strategy, and genuine long-term career progression.

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will support the RM in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high-quality, child-centred care and strong regulatory compliance. You will lead, develop and motivate a stable staff team, embed a positive culture, and deliver positive outcomes for young people with trauma and trauma-based conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading, mentoring and developing the staff team

* Ensuring high standards of safeguarding, care planning and outcomes

* Maintaining compliance and inspection readiness

* Building strong relationships with placing authorities, professionals and families

The Ideal Candidate

* An experienced Deputy Manager or Senior ready to step up

* Strong knowledge of trauma and children’s residential care

* Level 3 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)

* Confident leading teams and managing compliance

* Passionate about delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes
