SEN Teaching Assistants
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for experienced and passionate Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated SEN School in Emsworth.
This specialist school provides high-quality education and care for students aged 11-16 years with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
As a successful candidate, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both academically and socially, working alongside a committed team to deliver a nurturing, pupil-centred learning experience.
While prior experience in a school or SEN setting is advantageous, it is not essential the school offers ongoing training and professional development for the right candidate with the right attitude.

Location: Emsworth, Hampshire
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Start Date: ASAP (Immediate start available)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent opportunities
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: From GBP11.20 per hourKey Responsibilities:
Support students with Moderate Learning Difficulties in the classroom
Assist with learning activities, engagement, and behaviour management
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Support students' emotional, social, and personal development
Provide personal care support where requiredCandidate Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
Passion for supporting children with ASD, Aspergers, and complex needs
Proactive, enthusiastic, and able to engage students effectively
A positive, patient, and caring attitude
Willingness to participate in classroom activities
Comfortable supporting with personal care needsTo be considered for this role, you must:
Have the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply
