TV & Satellite Installation Engineer

North London (Covering London & Home Counties)

£30,000 to £40,000 + Training + Progression + Expenses Paid

Are you currently installing TV, satellite or broadband systems and looking for a route into the smart home and AV industry?

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing residential technology business that is willing to invest in the right person. You'll build on your existing installation experience while receiving training and exposure to premium smart home, networking and home entertainment systems.

Working alongside an experienced engineer, you'll gain hands on experience with high end residential projects and develop skills that can take your career far beyond traditional TV and satellite installation work.

This is a long term opportunity for someone who enjoys working in customers' homes, takes pride in neat installations, and wants to become a more technically advanced engineer.

The Role

You will already have experience working in a field based installation environment. This position builds on those skills while introducing you to smart home and residential AV technologies.

Typical responsibilities include:

Installation and servicing of TV and satellite systems
Residential AV and home entertainment installations
First and second fix cabling within high end residential properties
TV mounting, audio setup and cable management
Router setup, WiFi configuration and basic networking support
Fault finding and troubleshooting on site
Assisting with smart home installations including Control4 and Lutron systems
Using laptops for testing, updates and basic system configuration

You will not be expected to programme smart home systems from day one. Full support and training will be provided as your knowledge develops.

What They're Looking For

Experience within TV, satellite, broadband, telecoms or field service engineering
Comfortable working within customer facing residential environments
Understanding of cabling, signal distribution or basic networking
Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
Good attention to detail and pride in producing high quality work
Enthusiasm to learn smart home and AV technologies
Full UK driving licence preferredApplicants from Sky, Virgin Media, Openreach, telecoms providers and similar installation backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Package

£30,000 to £40,000 basic salary depending on experience
Full training into smart home and home automation technologies
Exposure to Control4, Lutron and advanced residential AV systems
Clear progression into higher level engineering responsibilities
Tools and equipment supplied
Travel expenses fully covered
