We are currently seeking a Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive dealership in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This Vehicle Technician role offers the opportunity to join a well-established, professional team committed to delivering exceptional automotive repair and maintenance services. Candidates with relevant experience and appropriate qualifications are encouraged to apply, with a focus on career development within a supportive environment.
Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician:
Competitive salary up to £40,000 dependent on experience
5.5-day working week, Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays on a rota basis
Opportunity to work on both routine servicing and complex repairs, including gearboxes, clutches, and timing belts
MOT licence preferred, but not essential, with potential for further career advancement
Ongoing training and development opportunities

Conduct vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics to high standards
Perform thorough inspections and accurately identify faults
Complete complex repairs, including gearboxes, clutches, and timing belts

Follow manufacturer guidelines and health and safety protocols
Ensure repair quality meets company standards
Adhere to all safety regulations and workshop proceduresRequirements of the Vehicle Technician:
Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician or Level 2 with significant relevant experience
Proven experience working within a busy automotive workshop environment
Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures
MOT licence is preferred but not essential
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Good organisational skills and high standards of workmanship
