We are recruiting for experienced Manufacturing Operatives to join a local company in Newark on a Temporary to Permanent basis.
Working Monday to Thursday 8-4.30, Friday 8-3.30.
Hourly rate depending on experience, £13.50-£15ph. Once permanent there is a yearly performance bonus in addition to the salary.
We are looking for anyone that has had any previous joinery, carpentry, furniture making experience ideally and someone who has a strong work ethic, works well as part of a small team and produces work to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities for Manufacturing Operative -
The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacturing of timber frame wall, roof, and floor panels, including but not limited to:
* Reading and interpreting production drawings and specifications - to a basic level
* Operating machinery including:
* Mitre saws
* Automated cross-cut saws
* Handheld tools such as , routers, nail guns and cordless drills
* Assembling timber frame components to specification
* Carrying out quality control checks to ensure high manufacturing standards
* Maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety procedures
* Cleaning and organising workstations, tools, and shop floors to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
Skills & Experience Required
* A reliable and proactive approach to work
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Benefits - 20 days holiday including shutdown between Christmas and New Year, pension, on site parking.
