Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Full Time – Biggleswade (SG18) – Immediate Start

Are you a motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a secondary school setting?

We are currently seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Biggleswade (SG18). This position is available for an immediate start, continuing into the new academic year on a long-term basis, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Pay: £90–£105 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential. You will provide both 1:1 and small group support, particularly for students with additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs and additional learning requirements.
Support students in accessing the curriculum across a range of subjects.
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions.
Encourage positive behaviour and support students' emotional and social development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to meet students' needs.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to relevant staff.
Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Support students both inside and outside the classroom where required.
Promote student independence, confidence, and participation in school life.
Requirements

Previous experience working within a secondary school environment is essential.
Ideally educated to degree level.
Experience supporting young people with additional needs is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
