We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable main car dealership in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, for the position of Diagnostic Vehicle Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced automotive professionals to advance their careers within a well-established and supportive environment.
Benefits for the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
Salary up to £42,000 per annum plus performance-based bonus
Monday to Thursday working hours 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
Fridays with early finish at 4:30 pm
No weekend work required
Main dealership workshop environment handling a variety of vehicle brands

Clear career progression pathwaysDuties of the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
Service and repair customer vehicles to manufacturer standards
Accurately complete job cards within designated timeframes
Diagnose vehicle faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment
Conduct routine servicing, repairs, and fault finding
Ensure all work is compliant with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
Maintain a high level of professionalism when communicating with customers
Contribute to a positive workshop environment, supporting team objectivesRequirements of the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Automotive Servicing and Repair
Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and minor repairs
Full UK driving licence
Strong ability to work independently and within a team
Well-presented with excellent communication skills
