Our client a food production company based in Bishops Stortford are currently looking for a a Lab Technician.
Monday to Friday 0800 to 1400
Pay Rate £13.86ph
33 days annual leave (inc bank holidays)
The purpose of this role will be to comply with all site procedures to carry out testing of raw materials, milled products and finished goods against specification.
Your duties will include:
To comply with site and business operational, health, safety & environmental and food safety procedures, work instructions and safe systems of work
To carry out the testing, recording and where appropriate, the appropriate escalation of results following the testing of raw materials, milled flours and finished products
To accurately record all due diligence and other operational data as required
To demonstrate to auditors (internal & external) as well as customers, the food safe manufacture of finished products
To support the Food Safety and Quality Compliance Manager and the wider team
To take a proactive approach in the identification, communication and achievement of continuous improvement
To carry out other duties on site as requested by the Site Management Team
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Ability to multi-task and problem solve under pressure
Basic Microsoft Office skills (including Word and Excel)
Attention to detail
Basic report writing
Good Communication (Written, Verbal and Listening)
